Tina is a fantastic Yoga/hand balancer who I’ve known for a few years now and she contacted me as she wanted some new photos for her website she was setting up. Being a Yoga practitioner and instructor she knew she wanted images that set herself apart from all the rest and had already seen some of the photo shoots I’d done in the past for professional fitness instructors and body builders.

We started the session getting some ideas together to see how we could make the best use of the time throughout the day and hoped the weather would be on our side. As she was setting up a new website I thought it would be a good idea to get a couple of different headshot photos in within the session as well as these are always useful for social media profile pictures etc.
The photos were taken at my house in my studio, my garden and then we finished up in Digbeth, Birmingham where we could use the interesting graffiti backdrops to get a totally different look instead of your typical studio style shots. I’m lucky enough to have a nice big garden when the weather is good which I can use for these types of shoots in the warmer months of the year. I used a combination of natural light and off-camera flash throughout the day and the photo shoot took around 4 hours in total including travelling to Birmingham. We all had an awesome time and it was good to get the creative juices flowing again.
