Bordesley Park Farm Wedding Photography – Amy and Mark

I was truly honoured to be chosen by Amy and Mark to photograph their wedding day at Bordesley Park Farm in Beoley. I first connected with them after being recommended by friends whose wedding I’d photographed a few years earlier, and I was thrilled to be part of their special day.

Having researched Bordesley Park Farm beforehand, I was already excited about the venue. Set amid rolling hills with beautifully maintained gardens, it’s a venue packed with character and features perfect for wedding photography. From intimate corners to wide open spaces, there’s something for every style of photography.

The Ceremony at Bordesley Park Farm

One of the unique aspects of this wedding was the layout of the venue. The ceremony room is directly below where Amy and her bridesmaids were preparing—a feature I hadn’t come across before. This intimate room was filled with natural light from multiple angles, making it ideal for capturing relaxed, authentic moments during the ceremony.

The small size of the room also created a very personal and emotional atmosphere, which is always wonderful to photograph. The joy and anticipation in the room were palpable, and those genuine moments translate beautifully into images that the couple can cherish forever.

Wedding Breakfast and Reception

After the ceremony, the wedding breakfast and reception were held in the venue’s large white marquee, set within the gardens. Bordesley Park Farm’s marquee provides a bright, elegant space that can be customised to fit any wedding style, and the surrounding gardens offer fantastic options for couple portraits and group shots.

The weather had a few surprises in store: rain immediately after the ceremony, followed by bright sunshine during group photos, and a stunning sunset to close the day. As a photographer, these changing conditions allowed me to capture a variety of moods—from soft, diffused light during the overcast periods to warm, golden-hour tones in the evening.

Capturing Natural and Emotional Moments

I love photographing weddings where I can document real, unposed moments as they happen. Amy and Mark’s day was full of those moments: laughter with family, quiet private interactions between the couple, and joyful celebrations with friends. The combination of intimate indoor spaces and wide garden areas allowed me to capture a full story of their day, from start to finish.

A Message from Amy & Mark

“Thank you Dave for being there to capture all our special moments throughout the day. Dave managed to create a memory for life for us. From the planning through to receiving our album has been effortless for us and that’s thanks to you.

We absolutely love our images and the album. Great for our children to look back at and relive our day over and over again. Thank you again xx”

It’s always wonderful to receive such feedback—it’s a privilege to create images that become lifelong memories.
